일본 시네마현에서 소위 다케시마 카레판매를 하고 있다는 기사를 지난 10.12자로 보도하면서 독도의 한일양국간 거리를 잘못 기재하고, 한국보다 일본을 항상 우선해서 표기했으며, 전반적인 기사의 논조나 톤이 친일적임.

이러한 세가지 부분의 문제점을 지적하고 시정을 요청하는 서한도 전달하였음.

시정서한문에 포함된 내용중 하나만 제시하면,

First, it’s about factual error. The report says “Japan and the Koreas claim an island equidistant from both shores.” It is evidently wrong. What is important to count distances from each territory is not from its shore but from it's the end of territory. Dokdo is two times farther from Japanes territory than from Korean territory. It’s only 87.4 km away from Ulleung island in Korea while it is 157.4 km from Oki islands in Japan. See the picture below.
