Dear "One Shared Ocean" director. I'm Ji yeon ha, students of Hana Academy Seoul, Korea. When I found this website, I think it's very attractive because it has many useful article and reports. Also I can use many maps. But, suddenly I found some error. Your site wrote down the "Sea of Japan". It's a wrong notaion.

From the 16th century to mid-19th century maps of the world over the sea has been labeled ¡®East Sea¡¯ or ¡®Sea of Korea¡¯. Furthermore, even maps made in Japan in the early 19th century have been found using the name 'Sea of Joseon.' However, in the mid-19th century, when Japan succeeded in modernizing, it began to exert international influence. In 19th century, when Japan colonize Korea, the ¡®sea of Japan¡¯ has been common on the international map. |
