To
whom it may concern,
Hello,
I am JW Park, a 2nd grade student in the middle school of South
Korea and also a member of ¡°cyber group for correcting errors on Dokdo.¡±
I
happened to visit your website and read your kids encyclopedia facts such as ¡°Liancourt
Rocks facts.¡± I was so shocked to see how much incorrect your historical explanation
on Dokdo was from tip to toe. It was a totally distorted explanation based on
Japanese ungrounded claim.

Dokdo
had continuously appeared in Korean historical records as a clear territory to
Korea since 512 A.D. even before 20th century. They are frequently found
in the Korean historical books such as the Chronicles of the Three States and
the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty. The only time when Korea lost its sovereignty
over Dokdo was from 1905 when Japanese imperialism took away the Korean
diplomatic autonomy by force, to 1945 when it was the last year Korea had been Imperialist Japanese colony. Even after World
War II, the Allied countries clearly affirmed by SCAPIN 677 in 1946 that Ulleung
Island and Dokdo was not the territories of Japan.
Also,
it was a maliciously wrong fact that South Korean armed forces captured 3929
and killed 44 Japanese people between 1952 and 1965 in your explanation. It
never happened and was a totally fake.
