Good morning, Ji,
Thank you for your courteous and thoughtful note. Duke Alumni works with US Operators to offer travel programs, and they craft the marketing materials. Someone from South Korea wrote me a similar email in 2018, when we sponsored this trip “Inland Sea of Japan”. The response from the operator at that time was that we unfortunately cannot resolve the dispute between South Korea and Japan over the international name of this body of water, and that they would consider the following in future: Sea of Japan (East Sea).
Please note that this trip is no longer offered by Duke Alumni, and thereby, not something we can influence.
